Percent Timer Light on the Valley Classic

What it means

Shows whether the percent timer is cycling normally or has failed.

The light should switch between solid and blinking as the timer runs through its on and off cycle. If it stays solid all the time, or blinks all the time, the timer has failed and needs replacing. Watching the light only catches a timer that has quit. A timer that has drifted still cycles but can put on the wrong depth or move the machine erratically. Catching that means timing the light with the percent timer set to a known percentage, which is worth doing at the start of each season and once a month through it.

This is what it means on the Valley Classic. On a different panel the same light or message can mean something else. Wrong panel? Pick another Valley panel.

Center pivots run on high voltage and heavy moving machinery. Shut off and lock out power at the main disconnect before you open a panel or touch anything electrical.
