Pump Restart Delay on the Zimmatic AIMS Advance

What it means

The pivot deliberately waits before restarting the pump after power loss.

After a brief loss of power, water in the pipe starts flowing backward toward the riser, and restarting the pump too soon while that is happening causes pressure spikes that stress the whole pivot. A machine that sits idle for several minutes after a power blip is waiting on this setting, not broken. The pump can start again by itself when the wait is over, so treat the machine as live.
