Com Fail light on the Zimmatic BOSS and Vision GPS position unit

What it means
Off is normal, blinking red means communication is failing.
This light should stay off during normal operation. If it blinks red, the two CLTs (control line transceivers, the communication boards in the main panel and in the GPS unit out on the machine) are missing messages to each other. A setting or wiring problem between the two boards can cause it. So can electrical noise at the site, such as from equipment run by a variable frequency drive (VFD), strobe lights, or a booster pump kicking on. Another pivot's GPS on the same channel within 1500 feet can cause it too.
Call a technician for this one, rather than opening the panel.
